Here We Go.....

Merry Meet everyone!!! This post is going to tell you a little about me. I live in south western Texas, I'm a 28 year old housewife with a amazing supportive husband and two, way too cute kids. My day(and life) pretty much revolve around the lives of my children. I am blessed to have found a man that doesn't mind me staying home with the kids while they are young.

Spirituality

When I do find a rare, quiet moment(which it not often enough), I like to learn more about my spirituality. Growing up Christian, I always felt that there was something more....or something that made more sense to me. I always remember not feeling in place in Sunday school and never knowing how to answer. Anytime I would ask a question, I was met with aggression and I never understood why. Back to present day: my quest for spiritual growth and brought me to Wicca. I've always felt a type of mysticism in myself, so when I read up on Wicca and what it was about, I felt at home.

I have been on my path now for a little of a year and a half now. I wish I was farther along in my knowledge but between two kids and my husband, personal time is very scant. I have had time to start a Book of Shadows which I will share pics of later. I simple used a 3'' 3 ring binder and notebook paper(more on how I put it together later). I'm not the richest person in the world, so most of my altar tools and what not have been things that I have found or made. I prefer not to buy much of my stuff, as I feel making the things I need will not only bring me closer to the Goddess and God, but will have a deeper connection with myself. As I continue on my path, I have a goal of one day being more green and self sufficient. I would like to have a garden where I can produce a majority of my food and teach my children(and hubby) how good fresh, healthy food can be versus over processed commercial foods.

Interest

I have always thought of myself as kind of a boring person, but as I have grown to know and express myself...I'm not too bad...lol I have recently picked up crocheting, sewing, up cycling: basically am DIY crafts I can make. I hope to hand make at least 80% of all my home decor and holiday decor. Not only is it a relaxing time for me, many things I can involve the children in. I was joking with my husband and asked him how he would feel if everything we had, I crocheted...lol I have found some crazy things I never knew you can make with yarn! Needless to say, my husband wasn't to thrilled about the idea...lol

One craft I'm hoping to explore more are crafts using dried beans. I was looking for different things my son could use to make pictures, past markers and crayons. We have been using dried beans and colored rice. Something so simple and easy with great results. It has inspired me to create a large piece for our living. I just haven't decided in what design to do yet.

As I get more involved in my crafts, I hope that it can be a source of income so that I can continue to be a stay at home mom and enjoy my children wholeheartedly.  Why not make money doing things you enjoy? That's the whole point right?

Cooking

For the longest time, I had strong aspiration of being a chef. I have always had a love of cooking. I remember being in the kitchen with my mother as she would prepare dinners and what not. She always made it look so easy and it was always good! I wasn't aware of my passion for cooking until I got my first job at a local BBQ restaurant. After that, a majority of my jobs have been in the food industry. Along with my passion of cooking delicious comforting food, I also have a passion for feeding people. I get a big sense of pride and accomplishment when I see someone licking their lips and unbuttoning their pants. Food is not a passion, it is life! Later, I will be sharing some recipes that I have picked up over the years. I have a cooking goal of creating a family cookbook for generations to share.

Well, that's it for now; I'm really excited to make more post and see where this all leads me...until next time, Blessed Be everyone and good night!!!
